Piebald Blacktails, we got em!

For about 10 years the local deer herd has been turning white. Looks like a Buck Boer Goat has been breeding the does but I guess that’s unlikely.

Walking the dog the other evening and saw this fawn. The second picture was on our property about 10 years ago. He lived to at least 8 and added a lot of color around here.

He never had much for antlers but the girls loved him.

Is it legal to shoot piebalds? Here it’s legal to shoot piebalds but illegal to shoot albino.

Yes, it’s legal to shoot either but I’ve never heard of an albino that I can recall.

I’d think albinos are inferior genetics so they’d want them out of the gene pool

Saw some piebalds down there around Cape Disappointment.
