Old school SWAG I re-discovered. When I was a kid I wanted one of these jackets more than about any article of clothing. These are jackets given to the local American Legion baseball team. Back then it was quite the honor, at least here, to get invited to play on the Legion team. Sadly the team no longer exists. At least locally, Legion baseball has been felled by travel baseball...

Tracking gravel. Once a year the Bristol Bay Borough grades our road, needed or not. The road bed material is very sandy so it makes for great tracking.
we don’t have too many grizz in the area yet, but they’re coming. The road runs out a peninsula, surrounded by one of Alaska’s most productive sockeye streams. 200 yards in any direction from the dogs puts you on a gravel bar favored by the bears for fishing. No tracks today
