Picking up bighorn skulls

https://legiscan.com/MT/bill/SB344/2019. It's my understanding it is now legal to keep bighorn deadheads. What are your thoughts on this?

Good time to be tromping around lambing areas. Or go earlier and find them on winter range, or facilitate finding them when lambs are hitting the ground.

I wish I would've stashed the ones I've found.......I wonder how many people are headed out this weekend to pick up their stashes. I think it's great one can keep them they are a tremendous trophy to possess whether you take a ram or find its skull. They don't get much cooler then that.

I know of a good one gathering dust on a shelf where no one appreciates it...

I have mixed fillings on this. A lot of people have brought up good points. I lean more towards leaving as it was. I can see a poacher shooting a ram, stashing it and then going back later to claim the "dead head" he "found". I doubt if I will ever draw a tag at my age, but I want these animals to thrive for others to have an chance at hunting them someday.
