Picked up an Ithaca Model 37 Centennial

I saw this pop up on Guns International. We talked on the phone and I had the guy send me some additional pictures of it with a photo of a hand written note with today's date on it.. The furniture is absolutely beautiful. It is AAA Walnut that sells for $950 on Ithaca's website. I bought the gun for $900 so I basically get the furniture, a free 12 gauge shotgun with unique engraving, and save $50.

Great. What choke? My trap captain shot one and some of the other guys who shot with him would get annoyed at all the shucking racket he made before his shots. Can't drop a shell in the chamber. The chamber must be closed, then shell shoved up the tube, then cycled into chamber. "The racket and delay ruins the shooting rhythm on the line." Wah, wah, wah. They are a fine gun. That one will be nice for the range (skeet especially because it ejects hulls at your feet for quick cleanup) but I wouldn't take it afield. Too pretty.
