This video came up in my feed a couple days ago and didnt have any context for it other than a phrase and I've heard Randy repeat that is soemthing to the effect of "sheep are just looking for a place to die"

Yesterday I got some context. CDFW held a meeting yesterday for the BGMA (Big Game Management Account) Advisory Committee....which oversees the funds collected from big game tags.

Mexico is the side they spend most of their time during the summer with more reliable water. The images to the right show a loss of a group with the additions to the border wall, mostly razor wire in this area.

There is some good news and CDFW was optimistic as USFWS?CDFW and NGOs were able to get in some temporary systems for water on the US side. The cost of these is about $12-15K, and the hope is to convert them to permanent solutions which will be $70-80k. Funding was provided by mitigation funds specifically for penninuslar bighorn sheep. Hopefully long term solutions work, it will certainly be a challenge, but it does seem there is coordination and hopefully funding maintains.

I hope the solutions work.
I hope even more that the wall is stopped before it cuts off all migrations across the southern border.
But I wouldn't bet on either.
