Side note.... Anyone have any experience with any other barrel manufactures? Was in the processes of sending a rifle out to pacnor but now.... not so much.

I assume you were going to have them do the work then? If you're looking for a plug-and-chug type smith set up like that I'd send it to GAP. You'll get a Bartlein from them unless you supply something else.
If you want to look at some ready to ship high end barrel options Bugholes has quite a bit in stock. Mostly Varmint/heavy contour, but there are some mid to heavy sporter weight barrels in there if you look: Bugholes Barrels
Grizzly Machine also stocks a lot of barrels, or at least they used to.

There are plenty of top notch gunsmiths. What were you looking to build? What action? Looking for a quick turnaround?

What a bummer. I had them build me a barrel and chamber in a 257 weatherby. By far the most accurate rifle I own. I was literally on their web page this morning gonna place a new order for a300 win mag barrel.

I have used nothing but Criterion barrels. I have five and they all are hammers. Northland Shooters Supply is the factory outlet for them.

I think Buzz uses PacNor barrels.

Bartlein barrels is one of my favorite barrel makers, along with Proof Research, Rock Creek, etc. Lots of good recommendations already shared. Others to check with if you're looking for someone to do the work is LRI (LongRifles, Inc.) and my favorite - Short Action Customs.
