Outdoor Life interview w/ archer who harvested 1st MT wolf

I read that interview...very down to earth guy. Harassed him like a freggin criminal after he caught some publicity.
 
Yeah, average size is somewhere around 95 pounds or so. Largest wolf harvested in 2009 was 117 pounds. 170 pounds is a monster, and that wolf is clearly not that big.

But then again, I only shoot B&C bucks. ;)
 
Photos can definitely be deceiving but considering the wolf is positioned in front of the hunter, no way that wolf is 170 pounds. Looks to me like an average 100 pound size. Still a great trophy to take with a bow!
