Cool interview with the guy who took the first wolf of the MT season, and the first bow killed wolf in the lower 48.

Nice story, but 170 lbs? Not sure I believe that.

Yeah, average size is somewhere around 95 pounds or so. Largest wolf harvested in 2009 was 117 pounds. 170 pounds is a monster, and that wolf is clearly not that big.

But then again, I only shoot B&C bucks.

Photos can definitely be deceiving but considering the wolf is positioned in front of the hunter, no way that wolf is 170 pounds. Looks to me like an average 100 pound size. Still a great trophy to take with a bow!
