I disagree completely. Every year things are so different from one another. Your hunt could absolutely suck one year and be great the next. I drew a moose tag in 2020. Of course the year I get my first tag the world goes crazy. There were so many people in the woods that moose were nonexistent. 7 bulls had been killed by vehicles in my unit that year. I spent 28 days looking for a bull.

I don't think that you should loose your chance to apply for a limited entry tag just because you have drawn one in the past.
Idaho is once in a lifetime if you pull the trigger

You have already drawn several - now - you want to take the chance away for someone else to have even a hope of the same chance/opportunity? Why?
A. I've drawn 1 tag most would consider LE. The other tags you can draw basically every year, but technically still LE.
B. By your logic we should all still be able to get 2 Deer A tags, shoot Grizzly Bears, etc etc because the people before us got to.

Yes, simple bonus system you keep the points that you have bought.
I haven't bought any points. I have accrued them through years of applying. My question was what hapoens to those of us that have max points for the big 3 right now under the current squared system? mtmuley

Oh - the penatly box shouldnt apply to the LE tag you like?

Now i follow. Makes sense.

I was contextualizing the tags I've drawn.

And I'm all for the penalty box if it allows for better draw odds for people who haven't had those opportunities.

You will still have max points, and you have bought every point that you have for about $2 a piece other than the 600 or so that you were gifted by a rule change.

Man. Crap is getting done in this thread. Let’s move the deer and elk seasons so they aren’t concurrent and no muley rut hunting. Whew I feel better. Now back to reality where there’s zero chance anything changes other than my ability to buy a sheep point if I do unlimited this year lol

I already have the best deer and elk tag in the state in my pocket this year.
