Option for a youth hunt this late in the game?

Hello,

Just trying to wrack my brain for a place to take my nephew this fall. He called to ask me to take him hunting and I want to cultivate his idea. His folks do not hunt but are outdoors people. They live in Colorado, I live in MN. Distance is no big deal to me....I look at this as a great way to get another hunt in this year. I wish I would have known sooner, I'm already taking my daughter to MT for the general deer season. Ideally, a December hunt would work best for my schedule due to the tags already in my pocket

Anyone have any ideas? We are not limited to deer...would also look at a cow elk or antelope. Just want to get the kid out.

What about a javelina hunt in AZ or TX?? Be a good break from winter in December. While weather doesn't deter everyone, I've found with kids/new hunters the more pleasant the weather the better...

Nebraska, Minnesota. MN has cheap youth tags, even for a non-resident. Special early gun season for youth only. WI has the same for youth deer, early Oct.
