onX Map question

Putting the final touches of our hunt. Brother picked up a plan B cow elk tag in unit 181, not the best unit but hopefully we can get some meat in the freezer.

Question: Two-Track Roads on onXmaps. Are these roads usually just for 4 wheelers? Are they open?

Also are county roads open if they pass through private property or can they be closed?

The way I understand it is if they are on public than yes. If they are on private than no. Also you cannot take a 2 track through private to get to public.

Depends on a case by case basis; check with the local NF or BLM office and abide by the posted signage.

If the 2 track is on National Forest land then you have to turn on the motor vehicle use layer to see if the forest service allows use and what kind. There are tons of 2 tracks in the unit I hunt and the majority are not open to motor vehicles. For the most part they are left over form logging operations.
