I planned to get after some yotes earlier this year but last night was my first time out, after 6 or 7 in of fresh snow yesterday I thought it'd be a prime time. I got set up about 9pm waited about 10mins to settle in then hit the Fox Pro. Literally in 30secs this yote comes running out of a thicket across the open bean field heading straight towards the spinning wounded rabbit decoy. At about 175yds he took a good hit was flipping around and done.....well I thought. Up he jumps runs across the field back in the thicket. I followed the blood trail until it was to thick with briars, since I had on some good gear I didn't want torn I called it off until moring. I picked up the trail this morning going through some thick crap until I finally spotted him still alive, a deer slug finished the ordeal. It was a male, & didn't weigh it.
