All my coues bucks were killed in Arizona's Coronado National Forest with a handloaded 257 Wby. shooting 110 gain Accubonds at a smidge under 3400 fps.
, this was my first deer. This little guy stuck around a little too long, a frontal shot dropped him at~50 yards. The bullet passed through front to back.
, 280 yards broadside, high lung/spine shot dropped him where he stood. The bullet excited.
, ~50 yards broadside, had no choice but to aim for the front shoulder. The bullet held together did massive damage and exited. The buck made it about 15 yards and piled up.
, ~200 yards broadside lung shot, the buck went about 20 yards.
, 240 yards quartering away. The bullet hit the inside point of the shoulder and deflected slightly up into the neck/spine. The buck dropped and rolled down the hill a bit and never moved again.
