Took a couple of days last week to go down to the river camp for a float hunt. Wound up with two does, a couple of woody drakes and three tree rats; also a four pound blue catfish. The river was low so the only flat water was in the sloughs, so all the ducks were in the trees at the back of the sloughs and could see us coming long before we were in range. We must have flushed over 100 woodies and only got the two with a couple which lost lots of feathers but kept flying. We set about 50 catfish hooks on Friday and only had the one blue for our trouble but in all it was a pretty successful trip.
