Anybody hunted bear out there? Ive seen them almost every year I've gone out there elk hunting. Was contemplating buying a tag just in case. Ive never hunted them, but they're next up on my want to do list. I'm bow hunting so it would be archery season only for bear as well. Any advice?

What GMU/ Bear zone you hunt in? Just curious
I hunted ML elk in 10 a few years ago with a Navajo kid. We were on top of a hill and he took a shot and started yelling "run quickly, I shot a bear and it is going to eat me"! I went over and saw the bear on it's belly crawling along and it died right away. Double lung shot. It's skull measured 20" so it was huge. Took us half the night to pack it out.
