New to Montana Billings area

A long time ago, I moved to Billings at about your age. We have made a good life here. Billings gets put down by some, but as Elky Welky stated, it is imo, the best city so far as decent jobs and semi sane housing prices. It is also well situated to a lot of outdoor opportunities. Maybe not right out the back door, but within an easy drive.
Am I correct that you have a couple of WT doe tags, good for anywhere in Region 5? That gives you several river bottoms to explore. All of them will have decent numbers of Whitetail deer. There are a few parcels of BLM land that are on a river bottom. I ride my horses on one such parcel, and see deer as often as not. They allow archery hunting on that spot. Go to the local BLM office and ask about parcels along a river.
