New threat to 2nd A?

I didn’t say there weren’t any Im saying that Texas is removing them on there own. Minnesota is a Sanctuary State. Trump should withhold all federal $$ until they enforce immigration laws. DHS is doing a fantastic job and Christy Noem should make a great First

And the pendulum will continue to swing, so long as idiots on both sides are totally unwilling to acknowledge the shortcomings of their respective side.

Biden allowed a stupid amount of illegal immigration into the country without doing nearly enough to stop it.

Trump has made mistakes in both policy and communication trying to remedy that error.

Trump lied and cheated in various business deals throughout his career.

Biden likely overlooked illegal activity on behalf of his family and also likely allowed his influence to make them a lot of money.

Biden was clearly struggling mentally for much of his presidential term and likely not fit for the office for at least part of that term.

Trump is crass, arrogant, uncouth, and aging quickly. He’s likely to make further mistakes due to his ego.

Democrats have erred on the side of empathy, occasionally overlooking obvious logical fallacies rather than addressing hard truths.

Republicans have erred on the side of reactionary defiance, occasionally overlooking obviously difficult conversations, decisions, and gray areas.

Trump was a reaction to Obama and Hilary. Biden was a reaction to Trump, and Trump was again a reaction to Biden and Harris.

And so it will continue until one side takes the high road, offers up a candidate on their merits alone, and extends an olive branch to the other side rather than smearing roughly 50% of this country’s citizens. Or, they both finally push 80% of the population to such an extreme place of disenfranchisement that we get together and finally elect a third-party candidate.

Social media and anonymity are a virus. The symptoms that you’ve been infected are a lack of compassion for people who disagree with you, the misguided belief that you are largely correct in most or all of your thoughts and opinions, and the assumption that you are somehow improving the world or your own life by arguing with strangers on the internet.

Talk to people in person. Realize that most are deserving of love and compassion. Enjoy this beautiful world that you have the opportunity to inhabit for a short period. Love another person deeply. Raise children, or pets, or crops. Find peace. Log off.
Very well said.

Wouldn't consider myself a trump Supporter but I figured he'd be better on border security (truth), inflation (meh), Wars (hell freakin no), fiscal (not nearly enough), deep state (hell no), and woke insanity (yes)
Serious questions for Trump voters/supporters:

1) how do you feel about the economy?
Not great which isn't a change.
2) how do you feel about affordability?
Same as economy
3) how do you feel about the increase in government debt?
Real bad. Very disappointed in our govt puppets on this front. They dont serve us, on either side. And the fiscal problems are most obvious.
4) how do you feel about threats to/attempts to prosecute and or punish Senators Kelly et al?
haven't followed the Kelly deal much. He sure seems to threaten folks a lot but DOJ doesn't seem to do shit about it. Real disappointed in the MTG and Massie attacks. It's not like he wasn't politically prosecuted though either. Edit: just read some on the Kelly persecution and at least as it was presented, it's disgusting. Another reason why i wouldn't consider myself a Trump Supporter even though I did vote for him.

1) The economy is fine. Some of the President's rhetoric is helpful, much is harmful. He needs to shut up.
2) Affordability is still tough. Inflation seems to have leveled out. I personally never thought it was realistic to assume Trump would lower the price of anything. At best lower the rate of increase. That seems to be working. Affordability was not why I voted for Trump vs Harris.
3) This is extremely problematic, but I didn't actually think he was going to do anything to address it in a meaningful way.
4) Not on my radar screen. If Sen. Kelly violated a law he should be held responsible. If he did not, he should walk away an innocent man. I am confident the judicial system will result in a fair judgement.

The reason I voted for Trump vs. Harris has been handled with 100% satisfaction by me.

The economy is great. My investment portfolio is way up

Gas has come way down in my area

The national debt, not much you can do about that as long as 40% goes to welfare and what portion is from fraud. No emigrant should get welfare. If they need welfare they should be deported

No opinion on Kelly

Serious questions for Trump voters/supporters:

1) how do you feel about the economy? It’s still relatively strong. It was strong under Biden too. Powell helps with this by avoiding a recession that should have happened plus all the cash pumped into the economy.
2) how do you feel about affordability? Ugh. Eating lunch or dinner prices are stupid. My kids can’t afford a house. I blame T and B for this by pumping a lot of government stimulation money into the economy. Hello inflation.
3) how do you feel about the increase in government debt? Government debt will eventually bankrupt the country. When? Who knows. I don’t think we’re at critical levels yet.
4) how do you feel about threats to/attempts to prosecute and or punish Senators Kelly et al? Stupid politics. T sues attacks he doesn’t like as a negotiation strategy. He’ll drop suits for money.
My opinions are in the quote above.

You are mistaking people's general politeness and aversion to confrontation, with agreement.

For instance, after seeing a decent number of Trump hats in 2020, I wore a Biden/Harris hat, while shopping at Costco. I got many thumbs up and no negative comments. I knew for a fact there were people who mentally flipped me off. You can be certain that others have done

I voted for him. It was an easy choice. It’s too bad we can’t have better options every 4 years. He’s such a jackass.
Jackass or not he is doing an incredible job. Finally other countries fear us. Speak softly and carry a big stick. The Greenland deal was incredibly. Crime rate is way down. My invest portfolio is going way up and Gas is way down.

I sure “felt” Biden and still “feel” Kamala would have been even worse.

Serious answers:

1. Fine, better than I did under Biden. My stock accounts are doing well overall, as they were for the most part under Biden. My money doesn't go further necessarily, and I'm not struggling and wasn't before. But I think, anecdotally, that inflation has slowed overall.
2. See above.
3. The same as I have felt most of my life. It has and will likely continue to go up until the American people are willing to sacrifice AND be looked at as "mean" because we stop giving handouts without serious scrutiny and verification. But it's really hard to put that toothpaste back in the tube.
4. The same as I have felt for the last 8-12 years. Bombastic threats are stupid and I hope there are reasonable people in the way of unreasonable pursuits. I am much, much more worried about actual prosecution rather than threats or attempts that ultimately fail.

To answer what I think many are really wondering: I do not yet regret any of the times I have voted for Trump. The personal reasons for my vote have not changed and I've yet to see evidence that I chose the worse (in the long term, to me) evil.

Serious questions for Trump voters/supporters:

1) how do you feel about the economy?
Personally good, as always. Overall bad, really bad, the combination of mass gov't layoffs with massive tech layoffs are simply going to come to roost at some point.
2) how do you feel about affordability?
No different. Housing has always been atrocious, and we don't eat out. Gas has been the same for a decade or more. Clothes and tech are stupid cheap.
3) how do you feel about the increase in government debt?
I do worry about this more and more. It seems like a really easy problem to solve. Everyone else can figure it out, the states, counties, and cities, though you read about how it breaks down again at the family level pretty frequently. Even though a D was the only person to have a balanced budget in modern times, they don't/won't ever run on that platform, but it sure would be nice if someone called out the R's for being just as addicted to the spending drug as anyone else.
4) how do you feel about threats to/attempts to prosecute and or punish Senators Kelly et al?
Prime example of what exhausted pointed out, these are the most political attempted prosecutions ever, and supporters of the administration either don't care or don't/won't know.

...

Side note. I've never met a person who regretted a vote. Ever. I think that alone speaks more to why this republic will fail, like all other attempts at gov't, than any other line of evidence.

incredibly...?

Finally other countries fear us.
The fear is that the US will not honor the age old pledge to defend heretofore allies, as signed onto as a NATO principle nation and as assured to other nations which lately have been insulted and are less confident in relations with the US.

China has no fear, as they are ahead in so many technological and economics "races" and China could wipe the US off the map with a few clicks of buttons, as well as field a boots-on-the-ground force of unimaginable size.

Russia also has the devastating potential "buttons" and has been told "Putin can do as he wishes" and recent diplomacy seems to bolster that attitude. The smirk on Putin's face expresses his "fear" of "day-one" influence by the US.
