I don't disagree with you at all but lets all try not to paint all law enforcement with the same brush. There are lots of dipshits in just about any profession.

Lets also not forget and understand that humans (as a whole) need to be governed to prevent complete and utter chaos in the streets and everyday society.
Without laws and people to enforce them, there would be so much chaos that it would make what we have seen so far in our lives look like a weekend picnic at the park. And I know that you and most everyone else understands this, I'm just making a point that we need law enforcement of all kinds. Could they do a better job? Yes. A criminal with a badge is far scarier then any illegal immigrants in my book is something I 100% agree with.

ICE didn't exist before 2003; imagine what chronically understaffed and underfunded state and local law enforcement agencies could do with ICE's $10 Billion annual budget. And they actually know the situation on the ground in their localities and which illegal immigrants are posing a problem. Abolish ICE and keep that budget item for local law enforcement with the requirement that to receive funding, they have to inform DHS and deport violent and sexual offenders. Everybody wins (except for the ICE agents that couldn't meat qualifications for any other law enforcement agency).

Completely disagree. We've done it before in the history of this country. Many of these people have built families and business that communities rely on. Entire industries rely on them.

Provide a path to citizenship for the good ones so they're fully integrated in the system and deport the bad ones.

Yes and I was issued a ticket for it. That's a bit of a stretch to compare getting a speeding ticket to sneaking into another country. I think even you can find that to be a laughable/ridiculous comparison.

Entering the U.S. without authorization is primarily a civil violation of immigration law, crossing at a point that isn't a designated port of entry is a misdemeanor. Ganja is federally illegal - ever touched it? Pirated music? Drank underage (National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984)?

People with Gadsden flag license plates are about 95% more likely to implicitly believe anything and everything the government says right now, and people who have never touched an AR and poo-poo'd the idea of taking up arms against a tyrannical government are suddenly seeing the value of the 2nd amendment. When unidentified (but presumably federal) agents in unmarked black cars started snatching protesters off the streets in Portland during the George Floyd protests my thought was “This is what it’ll look like when they come to take away guns.” Or any other constitutional right, for that matter. Exactly the black helicopter kind of thing we’d been warned about but dismissed as “couldn’t happen here.” I was disappointed and surprised at the lack of outrage then. Much less so now.

Glad some folks out there made a few bucks selling cool constitutional patriot lifestyle t-shirts and decals though.

No sarcasm. Ellison, all the local pols, Biden, etc publicly started the inflamatory narrative that police murdered him because of the color of his skin from go without investigation.

Floyd nearly died of an OD on a prior arrest for disposing of his stash in his mouth IIRC. Then upon his death he had enough fentanyl in his system to be fatal, on top of plenty of meth, on top of severe heart disease. Lots of "I cant breathes" were uttered by GF when he was unrestrained, because he was likely OD'ing. The Chief lied about training on restraint methods.

I dont claim to be the arbiter of truth on the matter and i'm not at all saying the police didn't do things wrong, but Ellison, Walz, and co had their narrative set long before the trial.

Actually for the ones where names have been released, reporters are diving in and finding no law breaking at all for a very large number of them.

This seems to be a sticking point for many--they say they are only going after the worst of the worst. That is clearly not true once people dive into actual cases and invididuals. I posted earlier a federal judge demanding the head of ICE appear before his court to answer why ICE is refusing to comply with court orders to release people not legally detained.
