Im on my 6th general tag in MT this year. Can anyone tell me what unit, drainage, (pref. Road) a guy can find a 350” bull. On public ground. Im not picky.. just want a fair chance. Feel free to PM me. I want to fling arrows.. hoping to draw a sheep tag this year too so i may not have time to use the rifle later in the season. Im in good shape physically but prefer to not hike in to far.. again im not that picky. Just looking for specific info. I only want spots/areas you have hunted for years. You know the honey holes! Anyway. Thanks for the read.. looking forward to interacting with everyone

Thanks for all the feedback guys! Looking to come out for 2 weeks. But i wont have time to scout. I heard in the bar last week that OnX maps is coming out with a map layer that guys can drop pins/coordinates to bulls that are over 350”... should be a game changer for sure. Just looking for realistic expectations, so im def open to info on a 380” 7x8...again, Im not picky.

Looks good here. Saddle up

100% chance you will see 350+" bulls here
45.748391, 108.612816

and here...

47°29'34.7"N 111°17'15.8"W

They might be pretty quiet, however, and I'd recommend bringing a ladder to pack them out

I would check the rmef museum in Missoula. I hear they have just what you are looking for, and they even have the taxidermy already done. No worries about cwd either...
Very easy access, but there may be logistic difficulties I haven't considered.

Yeah so I missed the (-) on the cut and paste of 45.748391, -108.612816. Most of you figured this out already...but I'm still laughing that the typo ended up being Mongolia, the country with the largest elk population in the Eastern Hemisphere.

A wapiti hunt with a Mongol Bow from a Mongol Horse is now on my bucket list. Unfortunately, is probably no longer legal method of take, not to mention extremely culturally insensitive...but I'll have it there on my bucket list for good measure anyhow.
