Headline MT Standard today...paraphrase... 'Avon, new MT ranchers group formed "Rocky Mountain Stockgrowers". Among other issues it will address is bison, wolves, private property rights...formation prompted by the idea of bison translocation to Spotted Dog' ..... Will MT sportsmen be able to find any common ground with this new group if it gains traction? Will this be another thorn in the side? If a lot of recent developments have association with this group's formation, it reiterates the need for us as sportsmen to stick together real tight and strengthen our organization. The tough battles we are fighting now....don't think they are going way any time real soon. Sorry I didn't post a link to the article...don't know how. People can look at the Standard's sight to find it.

Well they are getting the strategic exposure they were looking for. This could get the hornets nest of landowners all together on a variety of issues whether good or bad.

'Reminds me of the knee-jerk formation of UPOM (United Property Owners of Montana). I do think that after time UPOM did come up with some valid issues, so there is hope that the Bison-to-Spotted Dog knee-jerk reaction in forming RMSA won't just end up being another group of bitter, anti-FWP ranchers.
