New Mexico Barbary Sheep

I drew a NM Barbary sheep tag and Im planning on doing a DIY public land hunt. If anyone has done this and would be willing to share some info on areas to concentrate on or even the best units to concentrate on I would appreciate it I drew the BBY-100 tag and it is good for units 29, 31-34, 36, and 37. This is a tremendous amount of country, so if anyone has any info and can help me narrow it down, send me a message. Thanks

I have no idea which unit it is in, but BOY shot a gagger of an Auodad on public land near Big Bend NP. He said the sheep would move in/out of the park, so it took some time to actually find them where he could hunt them. Also be prepared for flat tires. IIRC he had his dirt bike tires filled with something to always keep them afloat.

Thanks for the reply. I checked around and the only Big Bend NP I was able to find was in Texas. Are you sure that it was in NM that he hunted and not Texas?

DOH!!! I know it was in NM. Maybe Carlsbad Caverns...

Very little public land in TX. I would think that he shot his auodad in a state park that is near Terlingua, TX. MTG

Pretty sure that's where he was. All I know is that he was hunting near the boundary of a Nat. Park and that it was definitely in NM.
