Never Ending Challenge of Access

We have issues in Washington State where the tribes (Tulalips for one) purchase property even if it's a small piece and influence the installation of gates. In one case they installed their own gate on public land blocking 6 miles of road and they don't even own any property but were granted access to pick berries. They get a key to the gates and Skykomish ranger district bows to their wishes. It's pathetic yet I foresee this as the start of more gates like Eagle Creek and Harlan Ridge.
