Neat place to stay outside Avery, Idaho

In 2002 I stayed inside a fire tower outside Avery. About $35 a night. It was pretty neat! Here are some pictures.

Don't know how far his hike was, but I'm guessing it was straight up. Bet that place had a hell of a view!

That looks like it would be fun...
I have hiked up to a lot of the old look outs around, but they are all burned to the ground..
It is great they put that one to use....
