NE New Mexico Quail

Anyone got any miles logged in NE New Mexico for quail? All the internet scouting I do says to head to SE New Mexico... I'm coming from Kansas, so would love to keep the drive a little shorter if I can get into some decent bird numbers in NE New Mexico...

I'm driving from GA to SE NM again this year because of the Scale numbers down there, if that helps

You'll be hard pressed to find much suitable habitat around these parts.

I see very few quail in NM,anywhere.

I used to live in NM, but never hunted quail there. I don't know what the population is right now, but a few years ago, a buddy of mine and his son that lives in Carlsbad, shot gobs of them in that area.
