Hello all, looking to do a muzzleloader hunt with my brother this fall 2024. We have 4/5 pts and looking for an outfitter in the SW portion of Colorado, as I hear there was quite a winter kill in the northern part of the state (even the elk herd). We are a couple of older gentlemen with some health issues. But, will be up for the task. Lodging would be nice to return to during midday. But, not a must. I would appreciate any info, as the years are ticking by. TY, JR

any recommendations on a muzzleloader that's lightweight for a small teen ?

They are all pretty light I’d look at more a lighter bullet to reduce some recoil most muzzy kick hard to due being lite

Most all of the name brand in-line muzzleloaders are perfectly good guns. I'd suggest going to a store where you can hold as many as possible and see what feels right for you. Honestly a good peep sight is more important IMO check out Williams western precision peep sight. I use Thor 300gr bullets but agree with going with the 250gr if concerned about recoil they work amazing.20231101_092346.jpg
