Mule Deer HD 210-50, tips?

I drew the 210-50 mule deer tag. I ‘m planning on doing a scouting trip in a couple weeks to get a grasp on what the area has to offer. I've never hunted this area, so it’s all going to be all new country for me. Does anyone have any tips as far as a good spot to camp, scout and hunt. Looking at several different maps it shows roads almost everywhere, I would like to get away from the road hunters and stay up high, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Deer numbers are down bigtime. A 160 buck is a shooter for sure. Check around hall and pburg up blk pine.

Keep in mind most those roads you're looking at are going to be gated off.
I can't speak for the numbers of deer or where they're at, but that area's always had really good genetics. I've heard of some big bucks coming off of the Rock Creek side as well.

Thanks for your insight, its nice to get help from other people who know the area. I'll be getting over there in the next couple weekends to do a scouting trip, mostly to see the terrrain. Google Earth is a great tool but isn't quite the same as the real thing.
