Mule deer advice

Hey Guys
I’m in the middle of planning a mule deer or elk hunt in Montana and I’m trying to round up all the information I can to be as successful as possible, planning to go with one other guy either a backpack or base camp trip.. thanks in advance. -JOSH

General advice, once you lock in that tag e scout multiple places keeping in mind some if those roads may be trashed so have some spots you know you wont have to drive on backroads for an hr to. Play the wind!!! Dont give up and know that if you keep doing the right things you will turn one up. Dont get lazy. Glass country before you cross it. Dont skyline yourself. Be very proficient and comfortable with your weapon because when you are out of breath and crawling through cactus to your shooting position you want to have absolutely confidence when you get that cheek weld.
Like Homers said there is such a mass if knowledge already on these forums from very experienced hunters
