i see theres an app called Montana mountain works, looks like it works similar to the onx app. wondering if anyone has ever used it.

Well that was underwhelming...the app is 445mb and is basically a download of the BMA maps, a low quality topo, and the 2016 regs. No ownership except what is available on the basic topo. Nothing that isn't free on the FWP website. For $10 go to cabelas and buy the DeLorme/Garmin Earthmate Hunting app voucher which much better although it is only a 1 year membership

Unless you're hunting with a friend the radio will serve little purpose except drain batteries.
