Got two more this size a couple weeks back, forgot to share- a 26-in and a 27-in. Hand tied bucktail (3/8 oz) and a preserved minnow in about 7 ft of water. Seems like the big girls weren't hanging out with the small ones during those couple weeks, or least I couldn't catch any eaters in the same spot. They were spawned out, and are still chasing stocker rainbows somewhere out there.

The walleyes seem to categorize themselves in the lakes that I fish. I keep a lid on my big fish spots because they consistently produce big fish and I worked my butt of to find them. Nice fish.

Yeah, I think this is going to be a consistent big fish spot every spring. I'm just dying to get a boat so I can be more effective in chasing things. I caught 20 fish yesterday, but only three of them were big enough to clean. A month ago, I couldn't hardly get any small enough to keep. I'm fairly certain I can get into them pretty good if I get a boat. Or better yet- a friend with a boat!

Until then, I'll just hop around to learn the lake, and ask the boats that drive too close how deep the fish are holding.
