Ok need some guidance, I'd like to hunt Montana 10-15 years down the road with my son who will be 2 this summer. I've been told you can apply for points for a child of any age is that correct?

also with my long term focus do I need to buy bonus or preference points or both? I'm a non resident.

Bonus points not preference points if your talking about drawing a special permit for elk.

Per a Huntinfool article I read yesterday you can start applying for points for kids when they are 6 months old

I'd check the Wyoming fish and game website. I know point buying in Wyoming is sometime in July to September 30th. Check the dates also.
