Montana new point system

I need some clarification on this new bonus points program Montana has. It used to be every year you'd apply and If you didn't draw you gained a point. Also if you didn't use a your points in the drawing for a certain species during consecutive years you'd automatically lose your points for that species. Now you can just buy a point after the drawing if you didn't buy one before hand and was unsuccessful. What i am wondering is if you buy the point two years in a row and don't "play" your points would you still forfeit them? Or have they done away with that rule?

Buying points only counts as participanting in the draw in every state.

You can buy a point in the summer for ten years and never apply and you will have ten points . They won't get taken away if you don't apply . I'm actually considering it . I have 6 and as a NR to get into a primo breaks unit Bull permit I'm gonna probably need more but you do never know . It's a random drawing anything can happen

Points don't expire anymore in MT, they changed that too.
