Montana Moose

Looking at unit 311 or 301 for my NR moose app, really appreciate any thoughts on the areas. Trying to stay away from HF picks and haven't been able to reach biologist yet.

I don't know anything about 301 but 311 has plenty of decent access to NF and I see moose there every year. Is there any specific info your seeking?

I got a two and a half year old bull in Wy with my bow a few years back on a DIY hunt and am proud of it, but I'd really like a chance to put a 40+ inch bull on the ground on what may likely be my last shiras moose hunt. I'll be on foot, but have packed out three moose over the years, and will have a buddy or two to help(I hope). So given no horses, how is the access and chance of running across a decent moose?

Biologist just called back and didn't sound too encouraging about 311, probably going to drop tags again soon.
