Well, This time of year can be let's say unpredictable.
We have had well in to the 70's and -25* and that was just in the last month and a half.
WINDS in the 60 to 70 miles per hour bracket. Rain, and snow and drought, again the last 45 days.

The walleye, Sauger, catfish, and red tail suckers start there migration out of Fort Peck Reservoir Now.
This year the ice is off the ramps and little to no ice flowing down stream to about the PN bridge.
The means time to get the boat wet...
We went down 25 miles to the Carter ferry and splashed her in. The sun was JUST coming up the temp was 32* and a slight north breeze.
We went about half way to Fort Benton. Rain. sleet, and snow made the trip in the open boat very pleasant. The river being incredibly low made the trip very technical. Flat low light made it down right Dangerous. I'm glad I was not driving the mud boat. We gave it are all and stuck it out till mid afternoon. We THINK we had one bite. The trip back we had to do in shorter chunks stopping to warm and fish. Made for a fantastic day on the water.
We'll be back!!!
