Hi everybody, I'm planning a elk hunt for the south east area of district 520. I spoke with the local biologist and the herd there is over objective. Anybody ever hunt this area for elk before? Any success?

I have only been in the area once, but all the elk I saw were on a big ranch that did not allow public hunting. Good Luck and let us know how ya do!

Not an easy place to find elk...

Yes for sure. I've hunted deer in that area before. Only seen two elk out there. One on the ranch by the highway and one that had been poached off meeteetse trail(bastards).
