Model 700 7mm Help please

Maybe this is a question for Critter, since you have kids out in the field with you a lot now, you see any need for the DM for ease of just pulling mag? I really do not need it, never really needed it in the past, but was thinking it would be something nice to have. But now I am weighing the convenience of it versus not getting the SS rifle, or having to customize it afterwords with Chrome.

Definitely spending a lot of field time with my kids. No way you need the detachable magazine for the kids, I just make sure my kids see me unchambering a round every time we are getting back to a vehicle. Helps to explain to them that you never want a loaded rifle in the truck. I always pop out the one in the chamber, (if there even is one) and throw that bullet in my pocket and push the other two down in the mag and close the bolt, still making sure safety is always on.
