Are you using livescope to catch them? Looks like pretty big water compared to the paddle fishing I’m used to.

That is wild. How were people catching them there before Livescope? Is there structure that concentrates them enough that you can reasonably expect to catch them by blind casting?

I don’t have a good answer for the focus areas, but I still see people out there all the time doing it the pre-livescope way. They are just trolling around and lift/snagging.

I can’t even imagine how much their shoulders and arms burn.


The fish are already a doozy reeling them in, let alone after hours of troll snagging all day.

My next question was to ask if trolling is legal there. Makes a lot more sense now. Trolling and using Livescope for paddlefishing are both illegal here in Montana.

It’s legal here. Real big thing in our lakes. Lots of guides out here!
I’m just very fortunate to have friends with nice boats and live scopes.
