Here is a pano I made from two shots of downtown Las Vegas. I stitched them together in photoshop. This particular shot was taken from the Stratosphere.

Great pic! i go to Vegas about once a month slot/poker tourny`s etc. another place if you want a great view is the outside of the "Voodoo" lounge at the top of the "RIO", if you get there before 9:00 pm, you get in for free or if you are a "diamond" player, if you get a chance check it out [watch out for the weirdo`s]

Sweet view Ovis. Did you get on the Bigshot while you were at the Statosphere?

Thanks guys!

I pulled into the garage of the Rio and the Palms to try a pic from there. I thought the upper deck would be a cool place to take a pic, and it woulda been if not for all the power lines. I may be going back in January to visit my brother who will be visiting there. If I do, I'll give the Rio a try. Thanks for the tip.

cjcj, I was going to suggest the balcony at the Voodoo, as well. I like it better than inside, with all the weird neon and blacklighting.

Mostly, though, I avoid Vegas like the plague.

Must be a different Big Shot.

The Big Shot thrill ride catapults 16 riders from the 921-foot level up the Tower's mast to a height of 1,081 feet. Traveling at 45 miles per hour, riders experience 4G's as they reach the very top, and feel negative G's on the way down.

I didn't hit any of the rides. There was a new one (or at least I think it was new) that seemed interesting. I'm not sure what the complete ride consisted of, but I do know there are some crazy people out there when they pay to get a false sensation of diving off the top of the stratosphere in a coaster.
