Meat Lockers in Lemhi zone, ID

Heading to Idaho in September, looking for a meat locker if 2 WI boys stumble on to a dumb elk. Anyone have information they care to share?

Don't know if any. But you shouldn't need one in that zone, even in September sometimes. Brrrrr, always windy.

I dunno TS, When I hunted there 2 years back, It was bumping against 90 during the day and snowing at night.

I would think Salmon would have a meat locker.

Try calling Service Grocery in Salmon. I hung an elk there a few years back - if I remember it was $6 or $8 a day.

Depending on where you are going within the Lemhi Zone Salmon could be a pretty big drive. I think you're better off buying a few extra coolers and ice.

+1. A good cooler in the shade that doesn't get opened holds ice for a good amount of time.
