Agreed, but... That include browtines? We dont count the brows as points in muleys or blacktails. Case in point, id call this a forkie.
This blacktail had some decent bases for his smaller antlers. Likely an older buck.

i would say no. i'm not counting brows until the B&C sheet comes out.

to me, the core of being a forky is 2 standalone forks. the presence of 1.5" brows doesn't change anything about those forks being forks to me.

Im a believer a forky can have a cheater though. If the points off the side, or even paralleling a fork going up and split off, its not a seperate "point" in terms of frame really? I have a 3x3 id call a forky.

I’d still consider it a forkie, but would call it a 3 x 3 if the brows are scoreable points.

I'm going to have to walk back my previous strict forky elitism, I got this blacktail on camera and I can't help but call him a fork. I need to see this guy in person

I almost forgot about this thread. I hunted this one for 3 years. A lot of other people had him on camera too. A guy that hunts next to me got him. He was daylighting way too often during the second rut to not get shot. It's not often you see a 5pt this size, and this old. He aged at 6.5yo. I swore he was a fork horn this year, but he did manage to grow a brow.

My son had him cruise through twice this season and didn't have a good shot. I had him pretty well patterned by the end of season. He showed up in front of the neighbor the day before I figured he would come by my spot. Another member in our club skimmed him across the brisket with a bow last year when he was a 6pt with decent brows.

He’s got brows but slick other than that. My grandfather got him on the family ranch while feeding the cattle back in ‘87…23 1/2” inside
