Finally i have purchased a scope that wont be knocked of zero every time nothing happens. The vx3 is absolutely the worst scope i ever had. Now i will be shooting a nightforce atacr. The vx3 has been knocked off zero several times, but ive never been able to figure out anything significant enough for that to happen. My old vx2 has NEVER in 23 years of hunting been knocked off zero. Naturally i assumed purchasing a 600$ leupold thats supposedly a step above a vx2, i was going to have a better and more rock solid setup. I was very wrong and am very disappointed. Hopefully this saves some from making the same mistake.

That ought to do the job.

Did you send it in to Leupold to have it checked?
I didnt send it to them. I was hoping the first time was some sort of hiccup i caused. The 2nd and 3rd time i was in the middle of hunting season w no backup. I will have a backup here when they finish with it shortly.

But as i said, the vx2 hasnt been knocked off zero in over 20 years of hunting w it. And i hunt a lot!!!! That was my inly legal biggame rifle until a few years ago. I didnt even have a 223 until maybe 10 years ago. So it was my everything gun.
Theres a giant quality difference between the 2 scopes apparently.

Send it in, get a clean bill of health or a new scope and post it in the classifieds. Use it toward the Night Force

I'm with you on the VX2. I have a few. Not sure why but seem to be stout scopes. I have one going on 25 years on top of a RUM. But, Send me the VX3. It's obviously defective. I'll pay shipping.🤣 mtmuley

Could it be an issue with the mounts your using, maybe not torqued correctly? Do you use thread locker? I had a set of mounts work loose and caused big problems....... of course just before I was getting ready to go out west.

If you think that could be the problem Randy has a really good video on scope mounting........ did the trick for me.
