Can yall use any weapon all season on private land? They made that legal in MS a few years back. Pretty much once gun season opens, it's gun season til the end of January on private. I figure it will hit LA next if it hasn't yet.Effective August 1, 2025 Louisiana passed a new law that allows Seniors (over 65) to use any legal firearm during primitive weapon season for deer.
Not sure what you mean. But if its you carry a rum when the kids are carrying traditional muzzie loader i cant see why yoid be for it.We need this in Montana for mule deer. mtmuley
Sarcasm and joking Fork. mtmuleyNot sure what you mean. But if its you carry a rum when the kids are carrying traditional muzzie loader i cant see why yoid be for it.
Honestly, I hunt with my 35 Whelen just about all season nowadays anyway. Nothing primitive about our primitive weapons. I do tote the muzzle loader, blackpowder 45-70, or bow when I want to change it up though. Not sure what you mean. The 35 Whelen was already legal (still is) for primitive. I have a .45-70 and never needed to change to the 35.Honestly, I hunt with my 35 Whelen just about all season nowadays anyway. No, I'm pretty sure private land is same as public, as far as weapons go.Can yall use any weapon all season on private land? They made that legal in MS a few years back. Yes, but could also be to create new revenue. Some old timers might not want to primitive hunt if they have to go buy a new weapon, ammo, etc but if they can use their regular deer rifle, they would buy the primitive license. Except those that have a "Life Time Senior Combo" License they won't have to pay any additional. The reason many Southern states have relaxed their laws is to increase harvest. Y'all aren't shooting enough does.
Arkansas has added private land doe seasons and youth season as well as changing ML season to include straight wall cartridges. It's about herd control.
