Lost sleep...

I'm losing sleep at night waiting for season to start.... after being in the usmc, unable to hunt where I was stationed or deployed, this will be my first real season back in the beauty of the woods. I drew a trophy muley Tag and purchased a second deer tag with the hopes of putting some meat in the freezer. In just over 2 weeks, my elk and second deer tag hunt will commence! I'm overly excited and hope to be successful. I hope everyone else out there is just as excited for season to begin... it can't come soon enough!

So... being that I drew a trophy tag for unit 42, I decided to purchase a non resident tag to try and get some meat in the freezer. It was a success. I shot a nice little whitetail at 242 yrds up a rock mountain. It was a great hunt and a great adventure. I hiked well over 40 miles on my two weekends and couldn't get on any elk, but I'm very thankful for the deer. Hopefully I can get a real trophy in 42. Good luck to everyone on their hunts this year!
