These days "loyalty" seems to be a one way street...I have seen people get layed off with 25-30 yrs of loyalty and hard work with corporations, like..Boeing, Honeywell,Motorola,Western Electric,etc.....almost no one is safe from the beancounters [downsizing etc.] unless you have seniority in a government job, then you are always vulnerable to some extent...as long as this country continues to export jobs and import labor it will get worse... Keep up with whatever changing [skills] you can, the more the better...Good luck to you and the new company.
