...Qualifications Needed:
-Like to hunt.
-Have heartbeat.
-Use words good.
-Tolerate kids (or obnoxious dads).

Seriously, we could use more instructors. Classes are always full, with waiting lists. Even with online classes, there is a required field day that needs to be staffed.

I'm in Region 2 and we really need instructors, but if you're anywhere in MT I can help you get plugged in. Most people don't know how to get involved or what it really takes (honestly, not very much). You don't have to be an expert on anything, just willing to help kids (mostly) get into hunting. Three easy steps:
1. Fill out application found here.
2. Pass the background check.
3. Apprentice with other hunters.

Shoot me a PM if you have other questions.

My 11 year old boy is finishing his 100 point test this evening and field day tomorrow. It has been the highlight of his year. I’m so thankful for these volunteers (MTFWP and National Park Wardens) and other citizens that volunteer their time and resources. I know a lot of people bash the FWP, but I appreciate their dedication and hard work. It’s a great program. Thanks for bringing up this need.
