Long Eye Relief Spotting scope

All,

I had a chance this weekend to compare and contrast my two spotting scopes at the range (100yds-300yds). I love all the features of the Vortex razor HD, but the eye relief of the Leupold gold ring 12-40x60 makes that scope so much more usable throughout the range, I am torn. Is there a spotter in the market that blends all of these great advantages into one? (bigger objective options, fine and course focus knobs, twist up eye cups, and long eye relief throughout the zoom range)?

I have seen long eye relief fixed zoom lenses, but I want the adjustability. I read online that the higher dollar scopes achieve more consistent eye relief, is that true? I have used a Nikon EDG 65mm spotter before and the eye relief was terrible.

In a perfect world, I would take a leupold GR scope and add the focus knobs of a razor and the twist up eye cups.... anyone know of a scope on the market that might match those ideas?
