Yeah, looks like you're right.

The hawkins rating is based more on perception of them being a boutique maker of premium components, wouldn't be surprised if the Leupold are as good or better i guess. I'd pick either over Talley.

I have a set of the Backcountry rings yet to be mounted. Eye test isn't definitive, but they appear well made. They will replace a set of regular Leupold rings that have held a scope in place on a RUM for 25 years. mtmuley

I just replaced my Talley Low with Leupold highs. I never had a problem with the Talley's but I needed to add more height for both my eye and quicker bolt movement. The Leupold's are quite a bit beefier.
