Lighter arrow recommendation.... thoughts?

Agree with almost everything here, I’d switch to a lighter arrow but I wouldn’t do it this close to season without being able to commit a fair amount of time shooting. Speed/Momentum is about as fruitful as left Twix/right Twix. Nobody is really wrong but they’ll argue like you are. Good luck!

Fwiw, i set up my arrows for elk, and hunt pronghorn with them as well. I regularly shoot good groups at 50 and 60, but 40 is my max distance at any live target. I don't care how good I shoot at targets, game aint the same, and I've seen how far a critter can move in the time it takes an arrow to get to the target too many times to feel comfortable with anything further.

I consistently shoot at 60 and my groups are within my acceptable range of lethality. But agree in a practical real world setting 40 yards is where I draw a line....EXCEPTION is if an animal has an arrow in it and there is an option for a second at 50-70...I’m going to throw another downrange.
