While sorting through some of dad's stuff last night I came across his combination license for 1947..... Price $3.00. I also found mine from 1973 (year after I got out of military) price $6.00.
Both handwritten in pencil no less.
 
The good old days when tags were metal and wouldn't fade if you forgot to take them out before wading past your wallet in the south fork. I'm sorry I missed those days. My first deer tag was paper a few years after they switched over.
