Leupold Rifleman scopes

Nut, I'm not sure about the price of the Rifleman, but the VX 1 is only $200. The new VX 2's are a great bargain, basically the same as the old Vari X 3's and for only $280. Vari X 3's were going for around $475 before Leupold introduced their new lines of scopes. Now you get the same thing with a different name for almost $200 less!

For the money, I would go with a Burris Fullfield II with the Ballistic Plex. I know some will conmsider it blasphemy to consider anything but a European scope or a Leupold, but for the money and the quality, I'd go with the Burris. AS pointed out above, with the lower quality Leupolds, you are getting, in my opinion, the same scope you would have gotten 20 years ago. Now, not too long ago I bought a Leupold VX-III, and it is much better than a Burris FullField - but it was quite a bit more money, too. I have also had two Burris scopes on two magnum rifles, and they have performed just great.

Just my 2 cents.
