Leupold BX-4 Rangefinding Binoculars

Let's see some Mule Bucks

2018, My wife decided that she wanted to see if she could get an opportunity to tag a mature mule deer buck. We had seen a few throughout the many years but she had always been satisfied with the bucks that had provided her with that perfect shot opportunity. As I posted previously, we found "ONE" good mature buck while out hunting on the public lands of SE MT. That particular buck was shot out from under her by another hunter and that incident wrecked my wife's season. She did not return to hunt after that and, for the first time in almost 30 years, she ate tag soup!

2019, "For the EXTRA POINTS!" Again, public access on a general tag.

13 total days invested hunting this buck.......my wife's smile says it all!

It should be stated, I don't want to miss lead anyone, "WE GAVE UP ON SE MT!" Montana is a big state and mule deer can be found throughout!!!

Greenhorn. the one in the falling snow has the body of a fattened steer.
I found some other photos of the big 3. It was a fun evening hunt. He was with several other bucks . As I was moving closer for a shot I bumped into a real nice typical in the 170 range and passed as the big 3 just looked way cooler. I shot the 3 but had to leave the hind quarters. I called a pal that lived over 100 miles away at around 11pm and told him about the other deer and offered to take him in the AM as I’d have to retrieve the hinds. He ended up killing the other deer.

I am blown away with the bucks posted in this thread. I killed this buck many years ago now. He was bedded down in the timber and I got him out of his bed at thirty yards give or take, while still hunting along a ridge line. I have long preferred the dark antlers found on deer residing in the mountains. This fall I saw one about the same as this one. He got a pass to live another day.

Walked out of the hotel the next morning and that’s what he looked like. Not the best pictures just from my phone. There was three of them just munching on the bushes.9D487ED3-147D-4F00-93CB-50C4EA7F730E.jpeg Also in Wyoming was probably only 40 yards from my truck but the best I could get with my phone.

This is the biggest buck I've been a part of killing. He was from a zero point second season hunt in Colorado back in 2017. It was my buddy's first mule deer, told him he might as well quit now. Buck grossed 200" on the nose green scored. He had 17" g2's with matching 11" inlines and twin kickers, it was a pretty incredible day on the mountain.

Not sure I've ever seen an antler arrangement quite like that, very cool buck.
