I caught this nice buck Coho on the Delta Clearwater River in October. This spring fed creek is one of the Tanana Rivers few clearwater tributaries. These salmon entered the mouth of the Yukon in August. They've come over a thousand miles by the time they make it to the Clearwater.

A 7 weight rod with sink-tip line and a purple egg-sucking leech did the trick.
The pic doesn't show it, but it was about 25 degrees and about to snow. This was my last fish of the day--my hands had stopped warming back up
